Thoughts on Gun Bros?

Im sure this has all been said before, but the thread was 7 pages long and I was too lazy to read it on my phone...
I have this game on my lumia 900 and the first time it booted up, there was a crashing problem at the bro select screen but since then there is only the occasional long boot-up time and the less frequent crash. For some that would make or break the game, but for a free game with so much to upgrade and so many levels to play, its something I can easily overlook.
I've spent about $5 on this game and then realized if I went any further I would end up spending over $100. The refineries are the way to go, definitely. If anyone is looking for another bro, I don't have any friends with windows phones so please feel free to add me!

Just downloaded it last night, played for a while. Not sure I like the free games where you have the option to spend $ for items tho. (read on for my reason why lol)

The gameplay on my Lumia 900 was pretty good, smooth, fast and fun. But on my wifes 1st gen Focus it was a little slower to load and got choppy at times.

I actually bought some items with some xbox points I had on my account from over a year ago, but when I bought a couple top level items, I realized that I had pretty much spent the equivalent of $50 on items! ouch! This was obviously my own fault for not knowing what the point to $ ratio was.

Anyways, I'm well invested into this game now, so I hope to get as much out of it as possible now.

I'd like to know of other ppls thoughts on this game, I like the possibility of having "buffs" from having friends who have the game, but I have few friends that have WPs...

The game is abysmal due to the fact that if you have no connection it takes like an hour to start up. I wish you had the option to start it up without it trying to connect. Other than that its a decent free game.

I uninstalled this just about as soon as I finished the achievements. After that it mostly turned into something that took up 200MB of space that could be better used for other things. Still have room for friends, so I'll probably accept requests (gamertag Interferens) if someone wants another lvl100 bro to play with.

The game gave me some ideas, though, in case any developers are reading: The basic game was fun, but in-game purchases are crap. So, what I'd like to see is a similar twin stick shooter, in the form of a regular paid game, with loads of loot generated by Borderlands-style system. Add generated enemies/bosses that scale to the player's level to that and it could end up being hours of mindless fun.

Gun Bros is first available for android phone but now it is available on Windows Platform. This is a free available so you can easily download it. I have played it and I really like it. It's interesting gameplay, background sound effect and graphics effect are very nice.

Yeah, I think Glu games are great except they all have connection and stability issues. Aside that, I like all their games.

Also Contract killers leaderboard symbol is Apples Game Center logo? How did microsoft let a game that still shows Apple stuff on their marketplace??

Same here, and its seems to be a known problem. At least in germany, cause i cant login since tuesday or so...

I was unable to log in ever sense I downloaded the game. I guess I jumped on the bandwagon too late.

I assume I need a connection to unlock more refineries?
