It's called "Haptic feedback" and there is not an option to turn it on or off, it is all a firmware thing controlled by the manufacture.

Personally, I really liked the haptic feedback on the HTC Titan my sister used. It felt like you were flicking a rubber band :)

there is an option on Samsung Windows phones to turn off haptic feedback, but is currently not available in Nokia's phones...it will be enabled in a future software update(Lumia Black or wp8.1).if you look at the touch options in settings, you will see the label Windows keys'.

there isnt any news about vibrate on/off option with 8.1 or black update ..

They're not backlit :)
Thanks! I don't really understand why Nokia choose not to backlit those keys... Its awkward as all other Lumias i see have them lit, including the Lumia 620. I already know that the Lumia 520 also do not have the keys backlit :(

New touch+display from nokia now allows you to disable vibration from three down keys.so get the latest update either by scanning QR code or by Lumia system updater application on windows phone store.

Guys Im from Philippines :)
andI discover how to remove the tactile feedback of the three buttons
First of all you must have unlocked lumia 800 full unlock or developers mode :) or any method of unlock used
Second is you must install wp7root tools, registry tweaks, and root manager
then thats all the requirements :)

After having install that apps to your unlocked device
OPEN wp7root tools
THEN go to registry sections
HKLocalMachine\Drivers\Touch
when your already in Touch folder
edit the vibrate value from 1 to 0
thats all and just reboot haptic feedback will be gone :)
