Within the sdk, can devs make apps with tiles that dont open to a full screen app, but instead do something when pressed, like toggle a peice of hardware or functionality? Like toggling bluetooth or 3g data? I dint want to get into homebrewing my families phones. If u cant do this now, u think microsoft would put the ability in a future os update?

It is actually possible to just run an app that does something, does not load anything to the screen, changes the tile icon, and closes the program.

However, there is currently no way to access toggling on things like bluetooth or 3g, etc. That is all locked down for security reasons; and so many other things too.

Sad. Its like a file system telling my family how to dive into the settings ea time to change or toggle something. Unless those api's become availavle, microsoft should make their own apps and put them free in the marketplace to do things like thise. Use the market place so that theres not more stalk apps people may not want.
