Time for Microsoft to unlock bootloaders?

Windows 10 Phone is dead as I read in may of the articles WindowsCentral has posted. :unhappy:

The Lumia 950 and 950XL offer a pretty amazing hardware and with an OS which will be only supported for Bug fixes, I think is doing injustice to the hardware.

Microsoft should unlock or release a way to unlock the Bootloader so that we can install custom ROMs or even maybe Android on the superior device.

What do you think?

I'd like to use android on an X3 because of the screen size and aspect ratio versus current android phablets. Or maybe android on my Idol 4S because of screen aspect ratio and speakers.

I think Windows Phone provided a delicate balance between customization of Android devices and security plus professionalism of iPhones, and hence if my Lumia breaks, I will replace it with a feature phone instead of using Android.
