Time is not updating

in my Lumia 1320 time sync is not working. I can set it manually.

Few times it got restarted automatically[not frequently though, may be once in a week or so], and from then onward the time reverted back to the old time which was set as manually. If it set to update automatically, time sync is not happening at all.

Anyone experienced similar problems ?

The automatic time sync is from your wireless carrier's towers. Have you contacted your carrier and asked them if towers are being serviced?

I have reset and restarted my phone a couple of times but I haven't faced this issue on my Lumia 1320. The time shows properly. I think the problem could be what Laura has mentioned.

Yeah, I think so. But what I'm wondering is, on my HTC Desire had not have any such issues. Not sure how the Android really worked. May be it got updates from any time sync servers.

I can confirm that Windows Phone 8 uses the NITZ protocol to set the time. If your carrier doesn't support the protocol, you have to set the time/date manually.
