Wondering if anyone had any tips on how we might be able to squeeze a little extra performance out of this thing.. I've played with the Intel 3D performance settings but I can see any visible difference on whether it's set to quality, balanced or performance. I notice a little bit of lag in a few games like Pinball FX2 and was curious if anyone has found any tweaks they can share..

In the bios there is a gfx boost amongst other things you can tweak,, e.g speeding up the drives
To Disable drive encryption (ie decrypt your drive)
1) Swipe in from the right for the charms bar
2) Select Settings
3) Change PC Settings
4) Select PC & Devices (1st Option)
5) Select PC Info (Last Option)
6) Scroll down to the bottom and turn drive encryption off
It takes anywhere from a half hour to a few hours but it doesn't matter you can work as usual even reboot the PC without stopping the process so just start it and forget about it, check back some time later to make sure it says it completed.

To Increase eMMC speed to HS200 (including the microSD fix in this as optional)
1) Swipe in from the right for the charms bar
2) Select Settings
3) Change PC Settings
4) Select Update & Recovery
5) Select Recovery (3rd option on the far left)
6) Under Advanced Startup press the button that says restart now
7) Wait for tablet to reboot
8) At blue screen Select 2nd Option, Troubleshoot
9) Select advanced options
10) Select UEFI Firmware Settings
11) Select restart (shows "restart to change UEFI firmware settings)
12) You're in a weird BIOS mode now, begin by pressing the Esc button at the top right
13) Choose Advanced (2nd option)
14) Choose LPSS & SCC Configuration
15) Change SCC emmC 4.5 HS200 Support to 'Enabled'
16) Change SCC eMMC 4.5 DDR50 Support to 'Disabled'
**NOTE** if you want to increase your micro SD speeds at this point
**16.1) Change DDR50 Support for SDCard to 'Enabled'
**16.2) Change SDR25 Support for SDCard to 'Disabled'
************************************************** *************************
17) Hit Esc at the top right corner twice (you should be at the main menu)
18) Select Save & Exit (Last Option)
19) Select Save Changes & Exit (First Option)
20) It asks you to confirm you want to save and exit, select yes and the tablet will reboot
21) Profit???

the gfx boost is in the northbridge settings somewhere not sure how much it changes but I got about 5% more points on future mark after putting it on.

Things to do when you get your Tablet this thread is a good read

That's exactly what I was looking for! Awesome, I'll try these. Especially interested in the graphics boost option.

Wondering how much this affects battery life. I've already noticed disabling the auto-dim on the screen reduces battery a bit.

On my DVP 64GB I dont see :

14) Choose LPSS & SCC Configuration
15) Change SCC emmC 4.5 HS200 Support to 'Enabled'
16) Change SCC eMMC 4.5 DDR50 Support to 'Disabled'
**NOTE** if you want to increase your micro SD speeds at this point

**16.2) Change SDR25 Support for SDCard to 'Disabled'

When clicking advanced there are 2 advanced buttons one on the top bar and one on the list, make sure your in the right menu.

12) You're in a weird BIOS mode now, begin by pressing the Esc button at the top right
If I hit escape here it exits me out of the Blue BIOS Screen ( Aptio Setup Utility - American Megatrends)
13) Choose Advanced (2nd option)

when you enter the bios mode it should show like the date and time ( i think) press esc once and it goes back up to a page that looks like https://skydrive.live.com/pagenotfounderror the esc button is still there though maybe your double tapping it? not sure what else it could be
Saw your reply,, no probs

Just an FYI, the microSD boost doesn't work on the 64GB Sandisk UHS Class 10 microsSDXC. I tried this last weekend but after the tweak, I couldn't access my microSD contents

Just worked on my 64GB Sony microSD.

I was snooping around the bios while making the tweaks and noticed in the south bridge settings that USB OTG is disabled... wonder why? My OTG adapters work so I wonder if it controls simultaneous charging and if there is a good reason for it to be disabled.

Just an FYI. Dell has patched the ability to access those alternate advanced settings in the BIOS with the latest A04 update. They are now inaccessible. So if you want to try the BIOS settings mentioned above you need to be on A03 or earlier. Once you have updated to A04 there is no downgrading to a previous version.

Thanks was able to downgrade following the steps outlined. Was able to apply the tweak, can notice improvement, feels snappier.
