Tough Choice: Surface 2 64gb OR Surface Pro (original)

My wife (er...Santa Claus) said she had wanted to get me the Pro but couldn't justify the price. I told her I didn't want the Pro. The Surface 2 is the ideal tablet for me, for all the reasons you mentioned. I would never pay this much for a tablet that doesn't have MS Office. I absolutely need it. Haven't found anything yet that would require that I have the Pro version. Not that it isn't awesome. It's just that I don't need it. I remote in to my PC when and if I have to. And there are more old Windows laptops kicking around my home if I ever need them. Since I got the Surface I haven't used them. And I can type as fast on this Type 2 keyboard as I can on my desktop. I did not think the keyboard would be this good.
