Transfer from Android through WIFI

Good morning Guys,
i am completely new to windows but ive been trolling around the forum the past week or so getting more information.
After returning my moto g after a few hardware issues ive finally on decided buying a simfree L920 on Three network all-you-can-eat plan

Very happy with the phone, but a few problems ,
been trying to use the app Feem the past night and its constantly playing up, only sending a small percentage of files, i have been an android user from the G1 and know the android system can flawlessy send files through wifi to each other,.
but i cannot find an dedicated app to do it from android to windows.
I have updated to 8.1 also maybe that is causing the Feem glitch.
I have so many photos and videos of my children on my old android which i would love to pull across and make use of the improved storage but dont want to do it one by one via bluetooth.

Any help would be great

I think your best bet is to download the OneDrive cloud storage app for your android device and you can sync all your photos wirelessly through the cloud.

You can also connect to a desktop/laptop through USB and transfer that way.

thanks very much struggling to get wifi atm though, i will just see how i go with good ol bluetooth
