Transfer pics/videos after Denim Upgrade

So after the denim upgrade using the recovery tool I had to put my pictures and videos back onto my phone. I thought, no big deal, I can do it through windows explorer or I can use the windows phone app and sync the backed up folder back onto the phone. Both of these methods seem to modify the metadata of my videos so that when I try and view my photos on my phone afterward, ALL of the videos show up first dated for Feb 13th. The pictures get loaded back to my phone fine (with the correct date mark) but the videos all seem to suffer with this meta data change (date taken changes to today's date). Can anyone offer any tips or a possible work around? Thank you.

I've had this issue in the past. It seems like the phone runs a task overnight/while charging that looks at all the metadata and sorts it. so you might just have to wait overnight.

though, saved photos/non camera roll photos tend to stay out of order
