Transparent tiles

I have a 1520 with Cyan and 8.1. Is there any way to turn off a transparency on certain tiles?
Just that some tiles would be useful wiha solid colour so that they can be identified quickly

I don't think u can switch off transparency of a particular app.
But u can do that for the whole start scree
Go to settings > start+themes
Here u will find "Backgrounds" and there u will see a small "remove" button
Tap it and voila, transparency's gone
