Trophy Battery

I agree with your battery life finding. I own an iPhone, a Droid, a Trophy, a BB 9930, and a BB 9700. The 9700, which is the oldest, trumps all of them when it comes to battery life. It can last more than a week on a full charge untouched, and several days when used normally. Yet it does phone calls, email, web browsing and GPS, which is all0I need a phone for. I've concluded that for me, it is the best phone.

This is a good response--really whatever works the beat for each of us is the best. Now I'm sure some would argue they don't like the BB browser, or maybe the form factor etc...and they would be right also! for them. If my top essential smartphone functions were email & battery life, the BB would be at the top of the list. For some, the extreme tinkering available (needed?) in Android to get it running smoothly is fun, for me it got tiresome and WP slots right into my wish list. Now if only VZW would release one with a nice camera.

I made the move to a Trophy from a long line of BlackBerry phones. I knew that I wouldn't get the same kind of battery life based on my usage.

I went ahead and ordered this: seidioonline.com

I had researched this first, and found on 3 different forums that people had no issues with the fit or quality of it, so I jumped on it. It fits perfectly using the stock battery cover, and has greatly increased my battery life and I am only on the second day of using it. Even with the initial charge, I noticed a significant increase in battery life. It is only going to get better according to Seidio, after 5 or 6 charges. Very impressed so far. I found it on Amazon for cheaper than Seidio sells it, so it was a great deal.

My original battery only lasted 8-9 hours so no phone in the evening without plugging in. I also switched to the 1800mAh Mugen which fits under the original back cover. They recommend letting the battery run low for the first several charges which was tough since I often had 50% life left at night when I would ordinarily plug in the charger. I charge every night now around midnight, but often have 50% remaining.
