Turn off wifi search in background?

Is there a way to turn off this feature, i think it must save me some juice if present. I don't want to turn off my wifi, just the background agent. Thanks in advance!

It wouldn't save any battery life and it's one of the reasons it's impossible to deactivate

It really should, any scanning agent will drain batery life, that is a fact.
I thought (and think) same as you, its not possible to do it but a Nokia article on its facebook page about going on vacations and saving battery in the process stated that you could disable it.
I know everyone makes mistakes but I didn't asume Nokia people to be wrong

I am pretty sure you can't... but i think you would indeed save some battery if such a feature existed.
