Turning off text message alerts on lock screen

I've searched for this online and forums. Anyone know how I can stop receiving text messaging notifications on my lock screen? I don't mind the sound alert just don't want it showing up when my phone is not with me for others to read. Thanks

Yeah, this topic comes up every few weeks. You currently can not do it, but I think it's an option they need to have and I'm hoping it will be.

The framework is already there. If you are in Kid's Corner, you will never see those alerts on the top of the screen. So at least if you want to show somebody an app, or have your kids play a game, launch it from Kid's Corner and that is a temp workaround for everything but the lockscreen.
