Mango update is going to bring a lot to the plate. 500+ new features is not a joke. I am especially excited about the implementation of HTML5 in IE9, since it all points to less bloatware, along with the hardware acceleration.
At the same time, what I would like Microsoft to do with the update procedure is what it DID NOT do with the nodo. A big update such as this, needs to be streamlined and delivered to the masses without any hiccups. Delivering on the promise is more important than the promise itself.
I am not sure what really MANGO can do without, but I suspect that the abundance of new features might just overwhelm some people. Its not tough to guess why, since not everyone will be using those features, and not everyone will take to a new feature as an addition, rather a painful obstruction.
That said, those people will be few and far between, and certainly not me!
Also, even though this is not strictly MANGO related, I would like to see more apps being developed which is as useful to a guy staying in Australia (me!) as it is to a person in the US. I cant help and feel a bit sad when I run across a beautiful app, and somehow my region constraints make sure that its just not as useful to me as it should be.
Lastly, Mango is a summer fruit, why deliver it in the Fall?!!
Cant wait!
Cheers from Down under!
