UK 710 and 7.8 update

The update site and the Nokia UK site both say that the update is available for my phone.

But

WP Connector on my Macbook and Zune on my W7 machine say my phone is up to date - it isn't

Anyone else have this problem?

Is there any other way of updating the firmware without Zune or Connector

Really want the tethering

The site said that the update was available for my region too but didn't come through until I forced it to update using the trick mentioned in this post:

You will have to do it again after each update to make sure you get all the updates.

It's a bit trial and error but got stuck at step 6 started again and first update almost complete, very poor customer service from nokia though

The trick takes some effort, yes, but it worked for me. Apparently it works (eventually) for anyone who tries it.

Thread title is wrong though. This is tango update, 7.5, not 7.8.
7.8 will come around september-october from what I've heard.
