UK buyers, will you be buying the 930 or wait for McLaren?

Don't get your hopes up re McLaren... I don't think ms are too concerned about getting in to a spec sheet battle with Samsung etc as lack of apps is their main weakness... that's what attracts the majority of consumers.. not flagships or specsheets..anyhow the difference between a wp handset running an 800 or 805 chipset is negligible.

I'm going to get the 930 but it will not replace my 1020. I will still keep the 1020 because of the camera. Still the best & nothing comes close cam wise. Despite running on an obsolete chipset is still pretty snappy. Thanks to the efficiency of Window OS unlike Android OS which is power hungry. Had the 1520 for about 3 weeks but just couldn't live with the size on a daily basis. Good phone it is but is a phablet. To sum it all up the best thing I like about Lumia phones is the "Clear-black" display. Cheers mate!

Well if what's left of Nokia doesn't bring something 'High End' by the end of the year WP could be in a bit of a fix, as it doesn't look like any other manufacturer is going to either.
Considering an Iphone (6) for the first time ever this year if something doesn't come out soon.
(please don't reply with the childish 'go on, we don't need you' comment) I've been with WP since the beginning and thinking about a change. A 1020 replacement would easily keep me happy.

Nokia won't be bringing anything - I'd expect a surprise announcement from Microsoft, like they did with the Surface Pro 3... That came out of no where!

I do feel that msft are looking to time a big release with the threshold update, early next year....

My 920 started to annoy me. Lose connection, screen freezes, any excuse. I went out and bought the 930 in Orange. It's very nice. I traded my 920 in for ?150 at Carphone Warehouse and spent ?120 paying off my EE November contract so I'm left with a new phone and ?30 profit, 3GB additional data and ?6 less per month contract. Trust me, if your contract is up in November like many 920 owners, go to Carphone Warehouse now and trade in!

That's some good buying right there man. Looks like you did indeed luck out there-nice to read someone doing it right and coming off well! I'm actually in the same boat regarding a November upgrade, so that is interesting news. Which network/plan did you go for? The extra data you nabbed would be a big part of any upgrade for me.
