Lost my phone recently and now have a replacement. Kids are texting me pics of my grandchildren which I am unable to download. The latest text I got reads "Get media content now (174KB)" which is underlined as a link. I tap on the words and then get a message "Getting media content (174KB)". It shows that for a minute or two and then goes back to the first message.

Didn't have this problem with my previous phone (same model). Is there something in the "settings" that is causing this problem? Appreciate it.

Had the same thing happen after a warranty replacement. Tech Support and the store were unable to fix. Ended up sending me a different phone.

Thanks for the reply Cameron. I rarely use this thing and am certainly not a "geek" on cell phones. My data appears to be turned on as per the following:

Settings > Mobile + SIN > Data Connection > ON

Occasionally a SIM transferred to a new phone will cause problems.
I had this problem with a different phone model and a call to T-Mobile fixed it.

Unfortunately the fiddling with the "flight mode" did not help.

Here is what I have in "messages > settings":

Text message backup - ON
Download message from - ANY TIME
SMS delivery confirmation - ON
MMS delivery confirmation - ON
Send MMS acknowledgement - OFF
Group text - OFF
Automatically download MMS - ON

Do you think changing any of these settings will help? Thanks.

Had a couple of long talks with my service provider yesterday. They tried a bunch of adjustments and had me try stuff on the phone itself. No luck. New phone on the way. DUH!
