unable to make purchases

I'm unable to download anything off the app store that requires money as it just says "We're having trouble connecting to the store at the moment. Try again in a little while." Yet when I try and download free apps a minute later this doesn't happen. I have enough funds so it's not that but does anyone know what's going on and how I could sort this out?

Try buying it from your computer through Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

If it still does not work then check your credit card settings as there's probably something wrong, like a typo in some number.
