Unable to re-join Windows Insider on 950 XL

The latest build is supposed to be working now for the 950 XL and for some it seems to be but for a lot of others its not showing up. I'm seeing that every time I run the Windows Insider app, the phone reboots and no update. I'm theorizing that the config file for Windows Insider is not being installed when I run the app. I hope this doesn't mean I have to do another hard reset.

I'm on the Lumia 950 Unlocked Dual SIM in US. I have the same problem. I would hate to hard reset for this but please keep us updated. I will likewise post if I receive the update without having to hard reset.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the Insider app to no avail and have the same issue. Subscribing to Fast Ring doesn't seem to stick.

Same problem for me here. Unlocked 950 XL Canadian Dual-SIM version. Reinstalled Insider app, cold-reset the phone, rebooted several times. Still not getting the insider build update. Would love it if someone figures out a solution...

I hope most of you reconfigured the device for fast ring once installing windows insider.

If you just installed the app that is not enough. Do the "update" for fast ring and give it a day or two and you will get the update!

I have the same problem. Installed the app yesterday and re-enrolled to Fast ring. Not seeing any update today.

That's the big question. It's all over the place. I havent seen any commonality other than most say a hard reset fixes it although not always. I'm waiting a week to see if there's a fix before I do that.

Same here on my Swedish unlocked 950. Installed Insider app and joined the Fast ring.
Rebooted and no updates.
Entered Insider app again and it was like I never been there before.
Selected Fast ring again and rebooted... still no updates.
Running FW: 01078.00017.15452.59012 and OS: 10586.13053

Edit: I gave up and did hard reset. The .29 works great so far

I don't see where I can edit the title of this thread. MSFT has confirmed it's not the app. They are working on a fix. To confirm you are enrolled, open the Windows Insider app, hit the ... on the bottom right and select about. At the top it will show you your enrollment.

I think we will be waiting for another few days or week or two before we hear more. The good thing is that they are aware of the issue and is trying to find a fix (other than hard reset that is). I have a feeling we might have to wait till the next preview build though.

I do not want to do the hard reset. I had so many problems with my 1520 after I did one and it eventually bricked. I loved my 1520. Now I love my 950 xl and if I had a $650 brick I would cry.
