Unable to send emails to gmail account

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Nokia Lumia 720.

I have setup my gmail account and it syncs fine. The only problem that I face is when sending emails. Sending an email to a non-gmail id works perfectly fine. However, I am unable to send an email to another gmail id. It gives me a delivery notification failure -

"Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain gmail.com by gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com. "

I am unsure as to why I am facing this.. I have also tried deleting my gmail account and adding it again. have also tried to setup my gmail account using the "Other" email setup option.

But I continue to face the same problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are able to send emails to other people through your Gmail account (those who are not on Gmail) it would seem the issue is with Gmail rather than WP.

I would personally check with Google to see if there's something going on. It may have something to do with your account.

Somehow I am of the opinion that its a problem with my phone.. I am also unable to receive emails from google accounts that have attachments. However, if i check the same email on a non-windows(phone) device, I see the attachments.

So basically,
- i am unable to send emails to google accounts
- i am unable to receive attachments from google accounts
