I unlinked and deleted my work's exchange contact, since I had the same info in the Facebook and outlook contact it didn't need to exist. The only problem is by doing this it ended up creating a separate thread in Messaging. I am now left with a thread with several years history and a brand new one that any messages going forward go to.
Im assuming this is because the exchange contact had the mobile number in it as well... But i would think that the outlook contact would be the 'primary' contact in terms of messaging. Unlinking and deleting a contact shouldn't effect messaging threads as long as the remaining contacts have the mobile... But it does. I can send texts in the old thread, but anything I receive from them goes to the new thread.
Any way to merge them?
