Unlock Surface Book without dock

We have 5 surface books in our enterprise environment that we are testing and they are all bound to a domain. If just using the clipboard and the screen locks we see the Ctrl+Alt+Del message but cant unlock it. No form of tapping or swiping moves the screen at all.

Anyone else have this issue?

Can't you hit power and volume up or down? I thought there was a hardware shortcut for this.

If you go into device settings, then typing you can turn on the option to add the standard keyboard to available keyboards. This allows you to choose the full standard keyboard which has the ctrl-alt-del keys.
