Hey all, I was hoping somebody could help me out here.

I go to a University whose WiFi network's EAP security is not supported by Windows Phone. I'd really love to update my phone to Portico, but it requires a WiFi connection to download. I thought that if I connected it to my computer it might be able to download it from there, but it hasn't yet. How can I update my phone?

If you're on Windows, download Connectify. It's an application that allows you to turn a wired connection into a WiFi hotspot or rebroadcast WiFi as a repeater or rebroadcast WiFi from WiFi if you have dual cards.

If you have Linux, the feature is built in, though arguably more manual. Ubuntu does this well.

*Edit* and by wired, I assume that dorms and classrooms have Ethernet connections. I had wired access when I was in a dorm, as well as wireless.

Well...while I'm sure that would work, what if I don't want to spend money to do this?
