USB Type C to HDMI adaptor capabilities?

Has anyone tried to output video from Movies and TV app or Netflix or Hulu using a USB type c to HDMI adaptor? If so, what happens? Thinking about picking one up on amazon so I can easily watch videos/movies on a larger screen when traveling or at a friends place. Just curious what Windows 10 Mobile can do in that regard with this phone. Any news or links you can provide would be great. Not wanting to use a wireless solution or spend a bunch of money on a continuum dock if I don't need to.

I think that only works on android phones, but it doesnt hurt to try. Instead of the dock display, you can spend half the price ($45-$50) on the Microsoft HD-10 Miracast adaptor and use continuum wirelessly as an alternative.
