Why majority of people easily adapt android/ios than windows phone?
one major reason is the similarity...
windows desktop had icons and taskbar for years
android and ios has give a more refined icon based desktop
when windows gave a completely new tile based desktop
few loved the change and few are not comfortable with it
tiles are awesome but unless windows desktop os replaces its icons with live tiles systemwide its a challenge for many
well, now we are far away from the decision microsoft took
it would be so much positive for microsoft to give more choice on the UX/UI of windows phone
let user select what they want and how they want...
1.Tile Desktop, App list
2.Icon Desktop, icon groups
3.tabbed Desktop, grouped apps
here the icons doesnt require to have round corners, it might as well be a small tile but should look more like an icon than a tile
