Using Lumia 1020 as a camera only

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I am looking to buy a Lumia 1020, but only want to use it as a camera since I'm on Verizon. I don't have any plans on activating it on any network, so does it matter if the imei is good or not? Thanks in advanced.

if you are never going to use it as a phone then it doesnt matter has long as the camera on the phone works and you can use wifi i guess

i agree, you can even use it without a sim

It doesn't matter if the IMEI is good or not. But do know a bad IMEI often means a stolen phone with little to no chance of being reactivated.

Also it will work just fine without cell service, just the stuff that won't work are obvious.

also, potentially a dedicated camera or so might be better.

Thats what I am going to have to do if I cannot get my 1020 unlocked
