Using x3 Elite with Desk Dock

Just about to buy x3 Elite, but still wondering about which monitor to buy to use with the Desk Dock... a few questions:

1. I assume connection from dock/x3 Elite to the monitor/TV can be either wirelessly, or by display port/wired. Wired option should be faster and more reliable one?
2. Does x3 Elite work harder/getting warmer when used with 1080p monitor, rather than 720p monitor? would usage of x3 with a 720p monitor help keep the x3 Elite's resources more focused on processing tasks, rather then on using them for displaying them on the monitor's screen?
3. Since x3 Elite does not have HDMI out, but only Display Port, I assume one of these would let me use it with HDMI equipped monitor/TV?

GuarDeanne, to my best knowledge:
1. AFAIK, the connection can only ve wirde. And yes, you can use a simple DP->HDMI adaptor
2. You will want to use a Full HD monitor. I think it will be no difference in performance (could speculate, its worse because less optimized ) but it looks a lot better. 1080p is not enough, as it is.
