Vaio Rumored to be announcing a W10M device on February 4th

I saw that as well, hope it becomes fact. As far as I know, Vaio has a very good reputaion among consumers, seen as top choices for laptops. Maybe it's name can give W10M a small push up.

I'm not sure if their reputation for laptops has improved. I know several people who had serious hardware problems with their VAIO laptops, but that was back when those were Sony products.

Personally, I didn't really like them.
- internal storage is below my minimum requirement
- what's with the large empty space below the display? and also at the top? The display could occupy more of the actual frontal footprint. This reminds me of the iPhone4s, designed years ago.
- earphone jack isn't centered
- the glass of the screen protrudes too much from the body
I'll probably wait for the next iteration or two.

I was a bit excited to see the news about this effort from VAIO.
After reading about it's purpose and initial market that waned somewhat.
I believe what's important and something I see emerging is that companies outside of Microsoft are starting to dip into Windows Mobile.
Perhaps if these other makers can show profit from enterprise or perhaps mid range devices maybe this will be a turn around.
