Very offensive that Xbox music doesn't even have all the popular The Beatles songs and albums.

The Beatles' songs are only available as digital downloads in iTunes. No other store has been granted licensing right. Amazon.com cannot sell Beatles' MP3s either. If one wants to buy Beatles' music from Amazon.com, the CDs must be purchased.

Wow that's odd. But thanks! I didn't know that!

Even Apple had a hard time getting licensing for the Beatles, especially with their Apple vs Apple Records conflict. iTunes just got the Beatles a few years ago...

Hate to say it but he is right. I came from that era and couldn't tell ya the last time I listened to a Beetles album.

hmm maybe it is because I hit up bars alot and I often hear people singing Beatle songs in front of karaoke machines. But maybe you should listen to their albums again for good old time sakes.

[A little offtopic] Are you sure "offensive" is the right word to use? I think "annoying" or "dissapointing" are more suitable. I would keep "offensive" for much more serious and aggravating matters, hehe :-)

Its not that I do not like any of that older music, I've just heard it all so many times I'm just really tired of it. These days I use XBox Music to find / listen to stuff I've never heard before. Right now I've been listening to Latin Psychedelia and African Disco. There is a lot of really cool music under the "World" section of the XBox Music store.

Considering that so much of today's advertising is using 70's music, maybe it is time to rehash the vinyl.

Offensive?? Apple eventually agreed to pay the various parties for certain downloading exclusivity as well as access. Just like some games are exclusive to Xbox, videos to Amazon, etc. Fortunately, real fans that still don't own the music after 43 years can today pay $4 less for The Beatles: 1962-1966 2-CD album on Amazon than the iTunes download. Lukewarm fans do have the advantage of being able to download individual tracks for $1.29 per. Now, that is offensive.

But even if you buy the CD's, rip them to MP3's, it will not appear in your cloud collection on XBOX Music right, because they don't have it in their catalogue?

True.

And yeh, the Beatles are nice and all, and I love their music, but I would never just listen to it on a daily basis. To much awesome new music coming out to listen to the old stuff. Missing all the new stuff by doing that!

The new stuff sounds better after a year because you don't have to listen to it every 5 minutes on every station. I have a teenage daughter and if I have to listen to Katy Perry for one more minute, I might go postal.

I don't listen to the radio lol I pick my own songs to listen to, I don't understand why listen to radial when you can choose the music you listen to on your phone, PC, Xbox, etc.

Easy. Teenagers don't need cell phones unless they work and pay for it themselves. If they're in school, they don't work. I can't listen to anything in my office (when I'm there) except the annoying ring of my iPhone, the company truck I drive doesn't have satellite radio and when I'm home I only listen to my family. Call me old-fashioned but dinner time is reserved for conversation and the sound of teeth crushing food. It's only when we're in the car that I have to put up with Pink (she's smoking hot though), Kelly Clarkson, the aforementioned Katy Perry and Lady Gaga (she's a guilty pleasure, I love that freak).
