Can the 920s vibrate be turned off?

Yes it can be turned off under Sound in settings. (Or I think it is there.)

Same here in Canada rattle as bad as 900 if not worse.

So i was at Rogers downtown (Montreal) This morning... The guy was rude but we got to open to other phones that were phone batch 46/2013, mine is 45/2012. They ALLLLL rattled. So obviously I didn't got an exchange.

I'm waiting on news from Nokia a tech is suppose to call me back.

I downloaded an app called "vibeMassage FREE" to test the vibration. The vibration is fine if prolonged, but if the vibration is short or has a staggered pattern, there is a weird noise at the beginning of the vibration after each vibration.

The app has several patterns to try out. The one called "Skippy" displays the problem best.

Perhaps a fix can be to instead of powering up the vibrating motor to full speed in milliseconds, fade in the vibration to a full second or so and make the vibration last another second to avoid the start-up rattle.

So this is normal? The "rattle" sound only at the beginning of a vibration?

Got a callback by Nokia Tech support.
I was told to send it in to have it checked.... So it'd be out of phone for 7-10 business days which sucks.
But I'm really tempted, to see if they could fix that issue...


If anybody cares to check it out, I've got the address to send it out to. I was told no RMA is needed, neither a case, you just need to have your details included in the box.

not yet. It's holiday seasons and I need my phone. I'll send it after xmas. Who knows when they are closed too during this holidays.

That vibration "rattle" is found in almost every Nokia device sold. I have a Nokia 3110c, and it sort of rattles when it vibrates. I actually kind of like it, it's like it's own ringtone in itself. Get used to it, guys

My old E71 has the best vibrate I've seen. N8 was great as well.
