Video Format to use ?

I have quite a few downloaded films in my collection in various formats (MP4, AVI, MKV etc) but none of them are playing on my Stream, when copied to a 64gb SD Card. All of them give 'Invalid' Format type messages.

All the films play fine on my iMac, and on my Windows PC as well.

Can anyone recommend a particular Video Converter tool (free, obv !) and specific format which will work best with the Stream7 ?

To save converting them, try using VLC player.

Yup, since the Stream 7 is a full Windows PC at heart, you can use VLC, either the normal desktop app or the tablet one in the Store.

Thanks all, I'm starting to think it might be a fault with the SD card, because VLC isn't happy with the files either. Will try another one and report back. Thx

If desktop VLC can't play it, the odds are good the file itself is at fault.

Guys, just to close this one off. Formatting the card in the Stream itself (as opposed to on my PC) did the trick. Thanks all for help.
