Video Out on RT

Unless I'm the world's worst researcher or just can't find it, does the Surface RT video do 1080p or is the near 720p that the display has?

And does anyone recommend getting it? I want to do more video out and when out and about with power point, so 1080p would make me sleep slightly easier.

Any help is appreciated!

I used it for Netflix on a trip, but I don't have my RT any more so I can't confirm - I'm 90% certain it did 1080p out using the micro-HDMI cable.

I have a Surface RT. I, on occasion, have connected it to my 60" TV. I was greatly surprised and impressed that the RT drove it at 1080P and that as a second display, was able to handle the native resolution of the TV with ease.

I really like official things. Too many bad trips with unofficial accessories. I have a hard time not buying from the source.

It's your money of course, but a $5 Amazon microHDMI cable works just fine.
