So we're about 30 mins away from the tech preview going live and I plan to install it into a VM but not sure which one to use. Only option currently ruled out is the built in Hyper-V cos of the problems with Connected Standby so has anyone got any recommendation for a suitable VM? Thanks.

I'll be using Hyper-V on my desktop to run it, I won't be installing it on bare metal. You could try Virtualbox or VMWare.

I'm hoping it will go smoothly as I have 8GB of memory so allocating half should let it run fine.

VirtualBox or dual boot. I prefer dual boot. I have so many computers laying around my house though, that I'm just going to do a fresh install on one of them.

I settled on VMPlayer and it installed ok and the OS itself works fine from the limited testing I've dont apart from getting the VM to fill the whole screen. Max resolution I can set the desktop to is 1920x1200, any higher and I have to scroll the display which is less than optimal, unfortunately this makes using it a bit of a strain as text especially is hard to read. Might have to try another VM host software.

Installing it on my desktop now that I use just for gaming. Will report back. Considering 8 bazillion people are installing this surprised at how fast the download was.

I'm wondering is the latest Intel Video Drivers (not the Surface Pro Custom ones) will work with W10 here and allow me use of the HD Control Panel?
