Hi,

I recently updated to Win 8.1, and found that there is no way to set your phone to "vibrate only" mode through system settings. I used to do it this way as I had already broken up my Volume controller buttons.
The pull down volume controller menu gets activated only when the volume buttons are pressed, I couldn't figure out a way to invoke it in any other way.

Is there no way to control the ringer volume if the buttons dont work on Win 8.1 ?

Thanks and Regards,
Rohit

settings > ringtones+sounds, a a slide switch for vibrate will be there. as for controlling volumes, no idea.

Hi Branden.. tried that but it doesnt put the phone on silent mode, it just enables vibrate feature.

Search for some app such as QuickSettings.. There u can have volume control. Dont know if it works for system volume

I think if you broke volume buttons, best solution will be to repair them as I don't recall any other method for your problem

Here's an mp3 that's nothing but 5 seconds of silence. Unzip it, put it on your phone, set it as your ringtone.
