Volume getting lower over time?

It seems that the call volume on my Lumia 1020 is getting lower and lower... It was fine when I got it about 6 months ago, but it is getting so bad that it is hard to have conversations on it, unless I'm in a really really quiet place...
Does anyone have the same problem, or maybe even have a solution for it?

This is with volume at 10...

I don't see any dust near the headpiece, but since it is covered by what looks like cloth, and not little holes, I can't be sure that there isn't any under it...
