The volume rocker on my nSP is essentially round the wrong way being that vol+ is on the left side and vol- on the right. Why did MS do this and has it been this way since the rocker was originally moved from the side?

If you hold the Surface vertically you want the power button to the top right. Hence the volume + being where it is.

I agree it's the wrong way round! Come on... what's the more widely used, landscape or portrait?

I tend to use the 3-finger touchpad controls for volume anyway, really like that usage.

The device is primarily designed to be used horizontally however i.e. the side with the type cover is considered the bottom.

The iPad mini 4 has the volume keys set the same way.

The surface is designed to be used EITHER way. When on a desk you can control the volume via the volume option instead of reaching forward. Other than that it's a mild change. I use the Surface to read comics when not in work while listening to music so the volume up is in the correct place.

Do people complain about anything and everything these days?
