VPN with Mikrotik

Did anyone manage to get WP8.1 or 8.1.1 to connect to RouterOS vpn? I'm trying but my phone only says connecting, and the whole OS is pretty much jammed while doing that. Only going to offline mode stops it so I can delete the connection.

What VPN protocol has utilized by WP8.1?
To the best of my knowledge, WP8.1 only supports Microsoft IKEV2 protocol and other VPN protocols like PPTP,L2TP and OpenVPN are not supported.

In Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, L2TP with IPsec was added (I was hoping they could also add SSTP natively)
