I'm trying to get the connection established between my desktop (64-bit 8.1) and the Windows Phone 8.1 (Lumia Cyan, L925). I was able to pair the devices, but the connection drops out after 8-10seconds, after clicking "connect". I can connect both with let's say my cars bluetooth, so I don't think any of the devices would have the hardware issues... any ideas on what might be going on in there?

In the event log I can see the following information
Driver Management concluded the process to install driver bth.inf_amd64_6f84d8a6ffc7c5d2\bth.inf for Device Instance ID BTHENUM\{0000110C-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB}_VID&00010006_PID&0001\8&1BC370B5&0&ECF35B3D522A_C00000000 with the following status: 0x0.

and

Driver Management concluded the process to install driver btmaux.inf_amd64_ad0af1e281dd58e9\btmaux.inf for Device Instance ID BTHENUM\{0000112F-0000-1000-8000-00805F9B34FB}_VID&00010006_PID&0001\8&1BC370B5&0&ECF35B3D522A_C00000000 with the following status: 0x0.

( I wonder why it tries to install the AMD drivers when it's the intel computer?)

Thanks

I had this issue when trying to send files to my phone from my computer. I found it works best of I go into the Bluetooth file transfer on my desktop, search for the phone then send it that way. Hope this helps.

the problem is that I can't even get to the point sending it to the phone as I can't see it in available devices. That wouldn't matter, I wanted to test to stream the music to my computer via bluetooth but I seem to be stuck at this basic step of getting those devices connected and keeping the connection alive.
