Want a surface... Advise

Let me ask you, how is one note on the device? I really want it mainly for note taking because my laptop is annoying to lug around. I just want to be able to take notes and record a lecture with, then transfer that to my computer. I guess I can wait I mean next semester is in the fall anyway but I feel like a cheap used one, if it can do everything I need, would be great.

I don't see a recorder in One Note. I think they left that feature out in the RT version.

Couldn't I record with a different app and then muti task with one note?? Then embed the video to my one note?

I hope so. That's what I plan to do. I haven't actually tried it yet.

Really? The Windows Phone 8 OneNote app has voice recording in there. You could record on your WP8 on put it on a temp page, and then later move it to your other page with the typed notes. Or you could just create a page with all your recorded lectures on one page and use your WP8 to do the recording.
