Dear, god man, you are correct, he wants a clean install of 8.1. Nothing more. No worries about any problems. He asks because the phone is somewhat second hand and wants to know the best way to clean out any garbage by resetting the device, before he installs 8.1. I have a Ph.D. man, I can read, analyze, and answer multitier questions. Now, leave it alone because I don't have any crayons handy to break it down further.
