How can you check the 1520 for water damage? Are there water indicators hidden anywhere?

Don't think so. I dropped my 928 in the toilet and haven't had anything wrong with it. I snatched it up as a fast as I could though then put it in a bag of rice.

inside the sim tray is a water indicator... you need to take sim card out and slide up the tray inside

When you take the shell off, there's a rectangular water indicator sticker in the lower-left corner as well as one in the SIM tray. Not sure if the still put one on the opposite side of the PCB, but there may be on there as well near the battery connector.

I assume that if my SIM tray is still white that it is not showing that my phone has been water damaged? It only got the top cm of the device wet, and it did not stay submerged. Put it in rice and it is dead as a doornail. $600 paperweight...
