Waze = MASSIVE battery drain?

Has anyone tried the new version? It seems to have fixed the overheating and battery drain issue.

I myself couldn't do any major test because in my mid-sized city nobody uses it so it's useless :/

It's fixed...and has improved each time I use it. I have a 45 minute commute and didn't lose more than 5% last week...and that was with a 5 minute speakerphone call.

Not using a Windows device. Waze kills my battery in a new android phone even while using the car charger. Without Waze the phone charges in the car. Nothing more frustrating when at the end of a 6 hour drive, as I had last week, the phone dies and the most difficult part of the drive, the last 5 miles to the actual address, have to be done blind.
