In the beginning, there was CAKE, and all was well. Until it was eaten, then more had to be made. So a giant oven was created and out popped the earth....

Was worried for a second that no one would get the Terry Pratchet reference. Glad it didn't go unnoticed. My perception was that it wasn't standing on anything and was swimming through space.

Never read the books but knew the reference. Your interpretation makes sense. I need to read those books one day.
