What if there's no ability to charge? Having a fast charging phone is great if the ability to charge is available.

Yeah never take a smartphone into the desert if you can't charge it. I rather be with a dumb phone personally in the situation.

Am I right in thinking Graphene can be used for new battery tech? If so these new battery and different charging tech news articles mean great news for batteries in the next 5-10 years!

Forget about dead battery, if there is no cell service , you wouldn't be a able to use the phone

So you won't use gps if you're lost in the desert :/

I'll try not to get lost in the desert??? With GPS on my L920 would be dead in 2-3 hours...

Also a compass is a great low tech solution. Knowing what direction to go in helps though.

I'll try not to get lost in the desert??? With GPS on my L920 would be dead in 2-3 hours...

I have a portable charger because my battery can barely make it through 6 hours use. But if the battery only takes 30 secs you'd need a special charger I'm sure.
