Maybe he has an American phone? Would be wired if Americans couldn't choose US as phone language when setting it up.

My HTC 8X is T-Mobile branded and I did not have to choose a language setting or the keyboard

I think it looks fine but I left it as is for someone who doesn't like too many changes as far as technology is concerned

I love it on my 810 and now I can't stop text flowing

So far geo fencing hasn't worked for me

Orland is to small a place for it maybe? Or you need to start providing a review for every establishment on Yelp and then you will be all geo fenced in since Cortana will have absorbed it

I'm quite happy with the update so far but I've noticed my battery is not lasting very well

Do you have the Facebook app installed? I disabled it's background activities and my battery lasts much longer.

I've come to the conclusion that people don't understand the terminology of 'preview'. They seem to think it's a fully functioning update.
