yeah that's the part that made me think.... how can anyone really have a clear conscience after taking someone's life. :/

Nowhere near enough snow for that. It also has to be the right snow. :p

It snowed well enough in San Antonio back in the 80's... A couple of neighbors broke out ice chests and packed snow in them to make blocks, which ultimately made a small igloo. I was young enough to crawl inside the igloo 😅 yeah, I turn 40 today.

It's truly sad the way this continues. I don't think a lot of Americans really realise just how frequent this is. Even worse is that there's probably too many who think these people 'deserved' what they got.

I'm at a loss that the police office in Ferguson said he did nothing wrong and has a clear concious. I'm a little stunned really. I could never have a clear concious after killing someone for what appears no reason. Even if there was a scuffle did he really deserve to be shot six times and killed? For what? For being a possible suspect in a robbery? Did the boy have no rights? That's what people seem to forget in these things.

The law in the US is messed up and is unfortunately controlled by white people.

As much as people complain about street cameras and surveillance I personally think this is the way for things to go. Eye witness accounts are never accurate and a camera doesn't lie, be erased, yes, lie, no. Not saying there isn't issues with cameras but I think it would help.

No point getting into the whole gun argument either. Let's face it when you have easy access to killing machines people will use it.

That's the thing. Blacks have never had the same share rights wise ever since the US was founded, even before that under British colonial rule. Blacks were counted as 3/5 of a person under the original Constitution. Yes, all that by the people for the people talk was really: "by the RICH WHITE people, for the RICH WHITE people". I'm not being racist, just calling the truth for what it is. Of course the officer won't see the gravity of the situation, because he is white and doesn't have to.

More things change, more I'm remind that some things stay the same.

Today I'm thankful that the GF is in the other room, stirring from a nap and that I'm in my warm apartment. There are many things for me to think about and contemplate on as I watch the grey skies circle in the distant future, but right now, things are OK.

Re: WC 100K Post Challenge - You Ready?!

i know its a little late for my story of Utah but i will do my best to talk about it :p
so the first day was the drive for 12 hrs from Cali to Utah. the boring part of the trip was passing through Nevada ( casino state) and seeing nothing but desert . the highlight of the trip passing though Nevada was eating at black bear diner. then from that point it was another 4 hrs to get to Utah .

we got to Utah around 9pm ( since we passed to mountain time)
so the day started to look at the soccer stadium and then going to the best burger joint SLC ( salt lake city) its called astro burger. then around 2 pm we went to my sisters place because she hasn't seen her sister in over 17 years. so we basically we were there all day.

the fun day was on Saturday . we got to sleep in..yay! we had plans to go to the mall called city creek mall. it was also the place where Mormons had their HQ. anyways that mall was huge it was an indoor outdoor mall . there was many stores and things to look at . the one that i was interested was the Microsoft store and it was pretty cool. i got to play around with the htc one . around 2 we went to eat Mexican food. it was ok.... kind of expensive but oh well that's what you get for being out of town . anyways it was time to go ice skating. we were only 10 minutes from the Olympic oval. the stadium is big enough to have an ice skating rink and an individual hokey rink. i haven't skated in over 8 years so once i got on those skates i knew i was going to be in trouble. there was people there so it was kind of embarrassing to fall but oh well what you can you :p i fell down over 25 times but not once did it feel that it hurt. we skated for over 3 hrs. it was well worth the fall to remind myself how to skate though ;)

so Sunday was the day we just went to another mall but i was sore so it hurt to walk :p but i did buy myself a red scarf and a hat. the rest of the day we were with my moms sister . so Sunday was a chill day. thought it did snow that day so it was awesome ! :D

that is my shorten summary of my trip to Utah :D since there is a lot of pictures here is the link to see them all
