What's your internship?

I'm a MSW student, in addition to paid work as a clinical youth developer. I'm interning at a program that serves homeless LGBT youth in NYC.

This is why I like to use avoid using SIM adapters. I either don't like to switch between phone with different style slots too much, or just keep my phones with the same style SIM slots. In this case, the prior owner was using a nano SIM + adapter and it got stuck. The phone works...I was sent an active SIM after all (*facepalm*). So I'm going to keep the OG color (white) by ordering a replacement back cover and when I get my repair guy to look at it to have him swap the housing out also.

I use adapters all the time without issues, but that time I just made a boneheaded move that cost me $330 :/ lol and I couldn't get it fixed anywhere as it's soldered to the motherboard. I ended up giving it to Bunky1971 as a surprise gift for letting me test drive his 635 and a couple months on his prepaid plan. He's sending me a Q10 soon for it which I appreciate

Is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of people using the 1520 as the supremo of WP?

I think I'm just bored of the idea honestly.

I've been tired of that. I'm over it. I skip those discussions now.

Agree with everything except taking the M8 lol. The only reason people seem to compare the 1520 and the M8 is because there is no 930 here in the US, and the Icon isn't available through Verizon anymore

Yup, well have agree to disagree there. I still like the M8. I actually would have owned both the M8 and 930 if I was still fully into WP. I'd use the M8 as my weekly commuter phone and pull the 930 out on weekends.

I owned one before briefly (before 10.3) but didn't like it much. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I liked the Z10's I've had except for the terrible battery life. I've just never been much of a PKB guy

I was a PKB guy. Big time. That's why I liked the 9550...still the closest touchscreen to a PKB ever made in terms of that physical feel.

Never actually been out of the country, but I've had my fair share of domestic flights; most of them have been up and down the east coast.

As a former 1520 user, if people want to compare phones it really should be the 930 vs the M8 (not the 1520 vs M8, and certainly not the 830 vs M8). The 1520 isn't in that class even though it shares the guts of the 930. As much as I like my 930, I'd disagree and pick the M8 if it had a better camera.
