Yup.
So the doctor's visit was 99%...useless. I did get my note to cover for the whole week though.
I'm gonna crash by the GF. Too stiff and sore to go home. This is the pits...

Well, everything aches but I'm by the GF. Day wasn't a complete loss...got the links for my Sony watch adjusted and very cheaply too at a watch repair by the GF. Gonna use the same guy for when i do the Moto 360. Gonna go all metal there.

Again, just like with German. Altough i'm starting to catch up with the lessons and stuff. Have an A already, need around 4 more to have A as a fina grade. I had a very bad first half of the year when it comes to German.

Oh and do you guys have any customs when it comes to moving in a new house? Here we bake a whole pile of pies and cakes and invite most of our relatives and neighbours.

So I'm roughing it by the GF today...yup, no Tablet. I kinda like this so far. I remember the days when i used to do everything on my phone and because how small those batteries were, I'd be reaching for the charger.
Having said that, I'm reminded of how much Moto needs to update the Maxx to get back to it's ungodly battery life. This battery bug on 5.0.2 is a joke. I was seriously tempted to downgrade the thing to 4.4.4...

As much for the regulars hear me talk about my supervisor (who is still an ***, by the way) and work, people often look past folks who work in the helping processions because it is about them in distress. As patients you're supposed to, but I've always valued patients who want more than what was needed to get done during that clinic visit.
One of the reasons why i like the patients that I work with is that as long as the patient is receptive (and it is an appropriate time) we get to talk about life. I think most of the female patients i get into life discussions with actually value that stuff. Some don't get to see guys who actually value them as equals in their day to day. Many of us take that for granted, but the amount of damaged ladies walking through the clinic is very telling.
Case in point there was a young lady i saw two weeks ago for her final visit (she's not too old to come to work for care). And as much as she is still a little young and stubborn about sex stuff for a 23 y.o., she started our conversation by saying "i told you i was coming back to see you last time, and i kept my word".
So without getting into HIPAA stuffs, we talked a lot about life and focused on her career goals. And why being a young person at her age she is learning to juggle school and working and how hard it is. How important her self care is and how to network.
I've got a singer-songwriter patient who is always ducking me when she comes to the clinic. Still, whenever we see each other, we talk about life. I looked her in the eye the last we spoke and said "why do you have all these people in your life who have no interest or desire in nurturing your musical talents?". That stopped her cold. I gave her a quote she liked and she literally wrote it down in her phone.
So this the part about work i like. And for me to be in a position to have all my senses working with a patient in my office, I've got to be healthy. That's why i took the week off when i saw the doctor today.
So folks, while the medical staff you see understand if you're an *** in crisis, it's about the crisis. Still, being pleasant in the roughest of places will open doors.

I've been to some of the roughest hospitals in NYC as a professional. You can see walking in that there is so much high volume trauma that staff put blinders up and do what they can. Sometimes when that happens, the humanity gets lost in the interaction, which is a damn shame. Still, I seek to be respectful of the medical staff i run into, whether as a patient or as a professional. Case in point, there are some folks here in the US who as immigrants in their home countries are fully trained doctors. Yet, that sort of experience isn't recognized. I saw a British coworker who was a full MD in the UK have to do her fellowship over in the US to get her credentials. She was married and her husband was a successful entrepreneur, so she could take the hit and do that (she's now moved back to the UK). Not everyone can do that.
And there is also some negative perceptions as far as immigrant doctors go here in the US. In some of the rougher neighborhoods I've seen in NYC, immigrant doctors fight the good fight with limited resources. Meanwhile we see the politrickians on TV running for office talking about healthcare reform. 99 can speak more on this too, but the truth is some of the resources that the small town NP/MD in rural Nebraska and the immigrant doctor in Crotona Park (Bronx, NY) isn't really that much different...they're both dealing with limited resources. It is the means behind the patients that is the problem. Not because one has a farm in the Midwest means it is automatically profitable. And not because you're on welfare in NYC doesn't mean you have no intention of getting off.
The number #1 cause of bankruptcy in the US is medical bills. I'm not saying that there are clear answers but clearly, the system is busted up pretty well. If i was in medical school, I'd be a specialist because a general doctor makes little money in comparison, even though the school debts as just as strangling.

Talking tech for a moment, I'm worried about Sony.
Now with all the stuff launched at MWC, tell me why only Xiaomi, Samsung and possibly HP hit the mark? I like the G5. I just don't like how they did the modular concept. I like the midrange stuff HTC launched. I'm lukewarm about Sony.
It's not that killing the Z line was a bad idea, I'm fine with that. My biggest issue with Sony has been their cameras are underwhelming and their prices are nonsensical.
The guys at "Moto" got the price point right for the Moto X 2015. I think this is where Sony should be balling with the X line. If they went $300 for the XA, $ 375 for the X and $450 for the X performance, i think they'd have a shot...especially if the cameras are actually good. I don't know who writes the software for the Sony camera app, but they need to be reassigned. Their sensors are so good that even Samsung uses them. So why cannot Sony get it right?

Well, i told you guys about all of my accidents during these 18 years of life. It really scares me, cause i have (at least i hope so) many years to go, and already had bunch of them.
The biggest fear in hospitals i have is going to dentist. Every time i go to visit one i almost pass out. But unlike many people i have no problems with needles, as a matter fact i like to draw blood. For some reason i find it, well, kinda cool. I'm planing to go to donate blood in a couple of months.

I think this was talked about when you first mentioned it, but some people go through as accident prone stretch period in their lives and then that stuff stops. As an adult, you've got 206 bones. Typically you start in the 270s as a kid and the older you get, the more some of them fuse. Maybe you're just accelerating your process with all your accidents.

So instead of kvteching about how i feel any further, I'll kvetch about how MSFT in their infinite wisdom, pulled Android Wear support for their Outlook app. Really? So one of the most important notifications i use wear for they've decided I'm better off looking at the phone?
I'm so tempted to go troll XDA and find the old school Android email app, which still has wear support. SMH...
