I'm rarely home in time to catch Jeopardy but today was an exception. Actually I was able to only see Final Jeopardy and it was the stuff of legends if you're an avowed Trump hater like me. Don't get me started on the detained children.

Anyhoo, a Muslim man from Canada was the only one with the correct answer (question?) on the topic of 20th Century American History against 2 lily-white 'Murican girls. Simply poetic. The only thing I'd find just as Kharmic would be for Miss Guatemala or Miss Mexico to win the Miss Universe contest (which is owned by Bone Spurs himself).

Ugh people running for office keep contacting me thinking that I am my sister. I have never lived in her home or used her address. Also she lives in a totally different district from me so they are just annoying...

I do vote early and for every election (it's more convenient for me usually), but my sister has a 2 month old baby so I don't know.

Next week Minneapolis.
Shutdown week after that.
Following week back in Minneapolis and Iowa.
Following week busy with a book tour event in SoCal.
I have to still get down to Costa Rica.

I just found out that my Note 4 is actually on it's last update ever, which is 6.0.1. For reading, it's been mostly good but since it's 6.0, there is no night mode or blue light filter. Since that isn't here, I have been doing trial and error with different apps.

I'll really like to find an app that works the best for me. It's funny how you miss something when you don't get to have it.

It's funny that you post this because I was thinking about how often you used to try more phones and if it's a relief that you aren't doing that right now with the busy travel time you have going on, since you have a great daily phone.

I usually kept one daily driver. Now I just use this one phone. My phone swapping days have stagnated since January of this year. I'm very happy with the Panda Pixel 2 XL.

I must say that carrying this with my 7 in my bag on a day that I have no pockets really makes me desire a smaller phone, like one that can fit most of my pockets.

The weight difference is real and feels heavy. I'm hoping that a new bag stops me from wasting time with a XZ2C. I have so many feelings about it still, it is literally the closet to everything I want in a phone. Since it is, it does have me debating a carrier change down the road.

Yup. Never underestimate the power of voting. Just see what just happened in my country, Malaysia. It bought down a very vile and corrupted government. Even after a month, we are still unravelling scandal after scandal.... An extraordinary election result.

Probably well deserved.
I hate crappy non tactile buttons.
And yes it takes some real good engineering to get them right. Had our own nightmare development story in 2008. Finally fixed the issues by moving suppliers from Taiwan to Germany.

And while I may agree that the engineering is challenging, HTC has long lost their margin of error. While the buttons getting the headlines, the same reviewers have hammered the display, FFC and "lack of standout features".

Personally, it doesn't matter what they do now, they won't get the markeshare needed to remain solvent long term. Sad, really as some of it was self inflicted.
