I had no idea that you were affected by these issues.

It started when 12.0 came out and I waited to get 12.1 to see if it got any better; did not. I was at the Genius Bar for the problem when I was offered the trade for the MAX. I wanted the larger screen so did not hesitate.

I don't think that my problem was wide spread so if you are interested in the X, test it thoroughly.

Some device updates.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Form factor and ergonomics are excellent. Camera is solid. Audio output (via dongle) is slightly better than Pixel 2XL. I am impressed that the device has a 4000 mAh battery and still weighs almost the same as the P2XL. Stereo audio is quite good. I think Google missed the boat this year with sorting the audio out like Samsung, Huawei, Apple and instead gave us bezels and ugly notches. I have the MediaPad M3 as my tablet so the UI doesn't bother me as much. Also Phone Clone app worked like a charm and imported call history, SMS etc without any issues.


Still waiting for the work iPhone 8 to show up from work.

I believe it takes a bit of time with consistent daily use for it to start learning your habits.

Yeah looks like some stuff is missing from the newer tablet. But aren't you getting it at a substantially lower price? Also a but more battery. But yeah you're giving up quite a few features.

Had it for a while. While the standby on pie is comparable to what I'm getting on the XZ2 on Oreo, I still feel it didn't do as much for me.

For their base models, the new tab is half the price of the old one. With about 70% of the features. I think it's a fair trade. Hardly anyone has water resistance on a tablet anymore anyways. Plus, I'm likely to get longer software support on the newer model than the Sony.

So I told him about my phone drama (faculty X), switching, and all of that.

When I was telling him about returning the Xr, he said, "wait, you should keep the working phone". Then I said that I have another phone, and he said, "Oh of course you have another phone!" I laughed.

He just sees it as a thing about me and not that I'm crazy. I mentioned this before, but I do really appreciate that. It helps that he kinda follows technology, enough to know about the news with the iPhone X and Apple. My brother kind of gets it but not the frequency. I stopped telling my sister about phones as she thinks I'm a little crazy in that area. It goes over most of the people's heads in my life. Of course, you all get it.

The combination that is him is really attractive to me and I figured that is why the feelings roller coaster has been real. I'm okay now though, in that regard.
